Here at e4education we’re always on the look out for emerging design trends, to help you make your school website look as amazing as possible.

One trend gaining popularity recently has been the video homepage, instantly giving your audience a glimpse into life at your school. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million – and here are just a few examples of how a video homepage could really transform your school website.

Maltby Academy
This full screen video really shows off what Maltby has to offer. Covering everything from maths lessons to a dance class, the school building and football training, this clip demonstrates how even a short clip can really set the scene. Using a video on your homepage not only instantly updates your website, but can give a great first impression to prospective students.

St John Plessington Catholic College
St John Plessington is an Ofsted Outstanding school, which is clearly demonstrated in their homepage video. Several areas of the school are showcased, including the school grounds, library, sports field and classrooms.

Thomas Deacon Academy
This academy is less than 10 years old, and the modern building and grounds are really shown off in this short introduction video. The short clip shows students walking through the modern grounds, as well as taking part in a range of activities including dance, sports and brick laying.
