Supporting The Shining Scribes Young Writers Project
Published on 11/03/15
We love working with not-for-profit educational groups to help develop their websites and marketing presence, and when we were recently approached by the Shining Scribes team to help with their website - we jumped at the chance!
The inaugural Shining Scribes presentation night was held in Cardiff at the headquarters of Glamorgan Cricket, on Friday 6th March 2015.
What is Shining Scribes?
Shining Scribes Young Writers’ Project is a short-story writing competition open to students in Years 5 and 6 across Wales. The aim of the competition is to encourage pupils to demonstrate their creative writing skills by producing an original piece of fiction, within a 500-word limit.
Shining Scribes Founder, Richard White, said
“I started this competition with the intention of providing young writers with a platform to demonstrate and share their creative writing talents. Little did I know that all of the competition entries that I received would surpass my high expectations. I think that the quality of work is outstanding”.
How e4education got involved
Shining Scribes founder, Richard White, approached e4education in need of a website to support the competition. Our talented team of designers and illustrators worked with the Shining Scribes team to develop a site which embodied the competition, as well as showcasing the nominees' work.
We love how the website depicts the imaginations of two school children, with a space scene, mermaids and mythical creatures beautifully illustrated and animated, by our talented design team.
